Job Description

As an Assistant Manager in the FP&A Budget & Forecasting team at Genpact, your primary objective is to support management from an operational, analytical, and tactical standpoint. You will play a crucial role in handling stakeholder requests, solving team questions, auditing and controlling various activities, running reports, maintaining files, and leading continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities: - Work closely with various stakeholders to understand business transactions - Ensure appropriate accounting and reporting of expenses - Conduct financial planning and analysis - Prepare monthly summaries of actuals posted in SAP - Perform variance analysis on monthly actuals results versus forecasts - Identify relevant transactions for management reporting and forecasting - Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Finance to clarify any material transaction or book adjustments - Obtain and discuss budget assumptions with Business Unit - Facilitate the Strategic & Annual budgeting and monthly forecast process - Prepare YTG forecast based on the latest Marketing plan and business assumptions - Ensure adherence to the Approval matrix as per company policies and guidelines - Generate reports and prepare dashboards on performance - Support and facilitate discussions on Strategic & Annual budget and monthly rolling estimates - Explain Marketing & Operating Expense variances versus prior year, budget plan, and prior forecast - Evaluate and communicate the impact of changes in assumptions to BU Finance - Provide risk and opportunity analysis for the current forecast - Prepare and publish Expense reports to relevant parties - Identify causes of significant or unusual business trends and variances by conducting research - Develop action plans to resolve variances during the rolling estimate process by working collaboratively with a cross-functional team Qualifications Required: Minimum qualifications: - Experience in Financial Planning & Analysis with knowledge of Marketing Expense Management, Budgeting and Forecasting, and operating expense planning - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - High proficiency in MS Office, preferably with extensive database modeling experience and advanced working knowledge of MS Excel - Attention to detail - Understanding of Financial Impact - Good knowledge of FP&A concepts like Variance Analysis - Good accounting concepts Preferred qualifications: - Intermediate level of English - Prior experience in the FMCG industry is preferred,
