As a member of the Firmware Verification and Validation team at Dexcom, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products. Your responsibilities will include interviewing, hiring, and growing a team of engineers for device compatibility testing, mentoring junior engineers, and leading a technical engineering team of testers. You will oversee the creation of software verification plans, test protocols, and software risk analyses to meet all standards and ensure compliance with medical and security regulations. To be successful in this role, you should have experience in testing hardware and firmware, proficiency in test automation frameworks and programming languages such as Python and Java, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously. You should also possess strong problem-solving skills, effective communication abilities, and leadership capabilities to guide teams and projects in delivering comprehensive testing and automation across software products. The ideal candidate will typically have a bachelor's degree in a technical discipline with 8-12 years of industry experience, including 2-5 years of previous management or lead experience. Travel requirements for this position are minimal, ranging from 0-5%.
