Key Responsibilities:

1. US Accounting Management

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations for multiple US clients across different industries.
  • Review and finalize

    US GAAP compliant financial statements

    , including Balance Sheets, Income Statements, Cash Flow Statements, and supporting schedules.
  • Oversee preparation and review of

    journal entries, accruals, prepayments, amortization, fixed asset accounting

    , and other period-end adjustments.
  • Ensure accurate handling of

    Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), payroll accounting, bank reconciliation

    , and general ledger management.
  • Monitor month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring adherence to US accounting standards and reporting timelines.

2. Team Handling & Leadership

  • Lead, supervise, and manage a team of accountants, ensuring high productivity, accuracy, and client satisfaction.
  • Plan team schedules, allocate workloads, and monitor daily performance and deliverables.
  • Conduct regular review sessions and provide timely feedback to help team members grow in US accounting processes and tools.
  • Train team members on US GAAP, accounting software (QuickBooks/Xero), month-end processes, and client communication best practices.
  • Ensure team adherence to SLAs, quality standards, internal controls, and operational guidelines.
  • Act as the escalation point for complex accounting issues and client concerns, providing swift and effective resolution.

3. Client Coordination & Delivery

  • Maintain continuous communication with US clients to understand expectations, clarify requirements, and deliver updates.
  • Build strong, long-term client relationships by ensuring accurate output, timely reporting, and proactive problem-solving.
  • Coordinate with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless client service delivery.

4. Process Improvement & Quality Control

  • Develop, refine, and implement

    standard operating procedures (SOPs)

    for US accounting workflows.
  • Identify gaps in existing processes and introduce improvements for higher efficiency, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, documentation standards, and audit-ready practices.

Desired Profile:

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong knowledge of

    US GAAP, US accounting processes, US tax basics, AP/AR cycles, month-end close

    , and financial reporting.
  • Experience working with US accounting tools such as

    QuickBooks, Xero

    etc. (preferred).
  • Advanced proficiency in

    MS Excel

    and

    Google Sheets

    .
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong leadership, task delegation, and team coordination abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and handle multiple US client accounts simultaneously.
  • Must possess a professional work-from-home setup with personal laptop and high-speed broadband.
