Job Description

As a Manager, Experience Researcher at Mastercard, you will play a crucial role in driving the creation of new innovative products developed using customer-centric strategic and design approaches within the Customer Experience & Design (CX&D) program. Your responsibilities will include: - Participating in all phases of the research, strategy, and design process to help define and shape the vision and future state experience for customers. - Ensuring that research activities align with the team's objectives and contribute to informed decision-making. - Developing fit-for-purpose research plans to validate hypotheses and concepts. - Leading and conducting generative and evaluative research methods, including engaging with third-party vendors when necessary. - Analyzing and synthesizing findings without bias to articulate insights and implications, integrating knowledge of cultural nuances and trends. - Educating and leading peers and stakeholders on behalf of the voice of the customer. - Curating behavioral, experience, and technology trends to inform higher quality thinking and outcomes. - Managing timelines, input from stakeholders, and contributing to the product design and development process. - Codifying best practices, mentoring/training other practitioners, and contributing to the broader understanding of Experience Research. In addition to the above responsibilities, you must possess the following qualifications: - Practical experience in deploying qualitative and quantitative research methods throughout the product development life cycle. - Strong storytelling, usability, and cognitive skills. - Familiarity with Design Thinking methodologies. - Demonstrated success in bringing digital products to market. - Curiosity for cultural and technology trends, innovation, and experience-based thinking. - Excellent communication skills, ability to influence partners, and articulate complex concepts clearly to senior audiences. - Experience working in complex projects with multiple stakeholders in large business settings. - Exceptional analytical skills to define strategies and shape research observations into insights and implications. - Experience working with a B2B2C business ecosystem. - Willingness for occasional international travel.
