Mukand Limited, a Bajaj group company is a leading manufacturer of specialty steel long products and heavy machinery in India, with a turnover of over Rs 5,000 Crore. Incorporated in the year 1937, the company has two divisions namely Steel and Industrial Machinery. The Steel division manufactures specialty steel long products in the form of Wire Rods, Bars, Wires and Bright Bars that feed into the automobile and engineering industries. The Industrial Machinery Division designs, manufactures, assembles and commissions heavy-duty cranes, bulk material handling equipment, process plant machinery and turnkey projects. Mukand produces Alloy Steel from its facility in Hospet, Karnataka and Stainless Steel from its facility in Thane, Maharashtra.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Establish the strategy, policies and guidelines for direct taxation
• Conduct direct tax planning for each financial year
• Manage timely and accurate collation of details for income tax assessments and transfer pricing reports
• Conduct advanced tax filings and transfer pricings
• Conduct filing of income tax returns for the organisation
• Meet assessing officers and IT commissioners for pending litigations
• Seek inputs from tax consultants on tax implications for new projects, structuring and filing of corporate taxes
• Manage the filing of information to banks, as required and obtain the requisite certification for the same to make the organisation compliant with tax regulations
• Address any queries and clarifications from the auditors
• Attend meetings with the Tax Assessing Officer and auditors, and answer queries and clarifications raised by them
• Tackle day-to-day tax-related issues

Position Requirements:

• CA with minimum 12 years of experience with strong experience in taxation in large organizations
