Job Description

As a member of the Secretariat team, you will be part of a rapidly growing elite group of professionals trusted with handling high-stakes legal, risk, and regulatory matters worldwide. Your expertise will be put to use from day one, collaborating with prestigious law firms, leading corporations, and influential institutions to address complex questions that impact critical financial, economic, and strategic business decisions. Responsibilities: - Help in determining the best approach for individual litigation/arbitration cases to support the Expert in forming a strong and defensible independent opinion. - Develop and implement work plans for the team to produce an Expert Report in litigation/arbitration. - Conduct economic and industry analyses of complex businesses" past and future performance, including managing financial model creation and operation. - Analyze financial and non-financial data, sharing findings with team members. - Apply intricate legal concepts to financial analyses. - Establish valuation parameters and draft supporting documentation for the parameters. - Aid in preparing damages and valuation reports, including incorporating team findings. - Engage in team discussions, challenge senior team members when needed, and contribute to a positive team environment. - Assist in preparing critique reports appraising the conclusions of other experts and identifying strengths and weaknesses in their positions. - Interact with clients and counsel. - Get ready for and attend hearings, trials, and mediations. - Oversee day-to-day aspects of multiple engagements and lead a project with minimal supervision. - Supervise junior staff, offer coaching and guidance. - Manage and oversee the review and Quality Control of work. - Support business development endeavors, including proposal/presentation preparation and participation in pitch/presentation. - Attend business development meetings/events, whether virtual or in person. Requirements: - Must be a fully qualified Chartered Accountant. - Preferably hold designations such as ABV, CBV, CFA, CFE, or other relevant certifications. - Possess significant damages/valuation experience. - An MBA from an Ivy League university would be advantageous. - In-depth understanding of the dispute resolution sector. - Capable of developing innovative approaches and solutions to solve complex problems. - Quick to grasp relevant information in unfamiliar situations. - Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and deliver high-quality work. - Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. - Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. - Team player with a willingness to travel internationally.
