Role & responsibilities

In this role, you shall be responsible for all the activities related to Cost accounting.
• Lead cost accounting operations, including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation across manufacturing sites. • Develop and maintain cost models to support product costing, pricing strategies, and profitability analysis. • Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to ensure accurate tracking of material, labor, and overhead costs. • Month end Standard JEs related to carrier bill accrual and reclass and track the Bills with SAP posting amount. • Analyze manufacturing variances (PPV, usage, efficiency) and provide actionable insights to improve cost control and operational efficiency. • Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS/US GAAP) and internal policies related to cost accounting and inventory management. • Support month-end and year-end close activities, including preparation of cost roll-ups, journal entries, and reconciliations. • Drive process improvements and automation in cost accounting workflows using ERP systems like SAP, Oracle. • Act as the SME during audits, providing documentation and explanations for cost accounting practices and inventory valuation. • Monitor and report key cost metrics, enabling data-driven decisions for budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning. • Train and mentor finance and plant teams on cost accounting principles, tools, and best practices. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial strategy with business goals.
