Position: Manager - Chemist

Experience: 5 Years + (More than 5 years plus experience in Laboratory work for M.Sc. Graduate.) For B.Sc. Graduate more than 8 - 10 years of lab work experience is desire.

Location: Kolkata

Role Overview: This role is responsible for Laboratory analysis for day-to-day chemical analysis, using analytical instruments of rock and ore samples. The role includes operation of ED-XRF using fusion beads, determination of moisture, LOI and handling of CS analyser. In addition, wet chemical analysis of Phosphate ore is desired along with instrumental elemental analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

· Manage Analytical Laboratory function by handling XRF analysis by self as well as monitor other junior chemists’ work to execute sample analysis at Laboratory.

· Having Practical and working experience on wet chemical analysis and handling of Bead fusion and pellet press instruments for sample preparation for XRF major elemental analysis.

· Knowledge of XRF instrument calibration, use of Standard and Laboratory QAQC protocol adherence.

· Monitor and coach junior chemist to operate laboratory instruments, including sample preparation.

· Good communication in English to have work comfort in Overseas Projects.

Qualifications:

B.Sc. in Chemistry / M.Sc. (Chemistry) from a recognized Institute.

Desired Skills/ Certification/ Qualification/ Experience:

· Good working knowledge in chemical Lab, particularly hands on experience for XRF elemental analysis.

· Knowledge in development of SOP for testing methodology. Hands on for XRF instrument calibration.

· Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.

· Management of Team for execution of laboratory analysis and impart training to team.

Pay: ₹83,000.00 - ₹125,000.00 per month
