Manager- Cell Formation

The Amara Raja Group, a rapidly growing conglomerate in India with a revenue exceeding USD 2 Billion, is seeking an individual to lead and oversee the critical cell formation phase in Li-ion cell manufacturing at their Divitipalli location. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the process is executed with precision, efficiency, and safety. Your role will involve synchronizing the formation stage with upstream and downstream processes to guarantee product quality and adherence to industry standards. Your responsibilities will include supervising the cell formation and aging processes, collaborating with R&D teams to integrate advancements, monitoring and optimizing equipment, driving continuous improvement projects, ensuring safety protocols are followed, coordinating with other departments, mentoring the formation team, reviewing formation data, managing budgets, and engaging with equipment suppliers. To qualify for this position, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field. An advanced degree in battery technology or related areas would be advantageous. Certifications in production management, process optimization, or Li-ion technology would also be beneficial. You should have a minimum of 6-10 years of experience in Li-ion cell manufacturing or related fields, with expertise in the cell formation process. Strong leadership abilities, analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, effective communication, and a proactive approach to challenges are essential for this role.
