Manager, Cash Operations

Role Overview: You will be joining the Cash Operations team at Oaktree in the high-visibility Manager position. Your primary responsibilities will include forecasting cash balances, managing cash movements for funding needs, staging FX trades, overseeing cash reconciliation, and making daily cash management decisions. You will collaborate closely with various internal teams to ensure accurate and timely execution of cash movements. Additionally, you will play a key role in developing both short-term tactical and long-term strategic solutions to enhance processes. Key Responsibilities: - Forecasting available cash balances - Monitoring and preventing account overdrafts in various currencies - Working with investment teams to ensure cash availability for transactions - Staging FX orders to raise cash and hedge currency risk - Implementing VBA/SQL-based tactical solutions - Establishing SLAs and KPIs for process improvement - Identifying, measuring, and mitigating process risk - Addressing daily issues, implementing process improvements - Building relationships with internal stakeholders - Participating in automation and efficiency initiatives - Writing specifications for technology enhancements - Training others and performing necessary tasks and projects - Processing cash movements through complex legal entity structures Qualification Required: - 8+ years of relevant operations experience in Asset Management, Investment Banking, or related financial services - Expertise in cash management and foreign exchange - Experience in leading technology implementation projects - Knowledge of Jira is a plus - Strong analytical and quantitative skills - Proficiency in Excel formulas, SQL, and VBA - Understanding of complex fund and deal structures is advantageous - Familiarity with SharePoint, PowerBI, Advent Geneva, Global World Investor, Allvue Everest, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Custodian Banks is beneficial - Strong attention to detail and ability to think critically and solve problems independently - Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure - Collaborative, team-oriented with a strong sense of integrity and professionalism Additional Details: Oaktree is a global investment manager with a focus on alternative investments and assets under management of approximately $200 billion.
