Knowledge of key valuation methodologies for business entities and intangible assets, including Income, Market and Asset/Cost approaches, including business enterprise valuation, impairment testing and purchase price allocation; • Good written and verbal communication skills including preparing memoranda and/or reports that communicate research findings and recommendations concisely, confidently and effectively; • Ability to conduct in-depth client, industry and market research; • Proactively seeking guidance, clarification and feedback on assigned projects; • Use of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel forpreparation, manipulation and analysis of large data sets; • Works effectively as part of a diverse delivery team and recognizes the value of multiple perspectives.
Must possess an CA / MBA Qualification or have equivalent work experience. • Industry experience in any of the following: Energy, Utilities, Mining and Infrastructure; Financial Services; Healthcare and Pharma; Industrial Manufacturing and Services; Retail, Consumer and Leisure; Real Estate; or Technology, Media and Telecommunications • Ability to identify key drivers of a business and potential deal breakers (financial and non-financial) • Understanding of the processes in due diligence work, including dealing with risk management processes and procedures • Excellent business writing and Excel skills (e.g. report writing) • Experience with Alteryx, PowerBI and other data analytics and visualisation tools • Excellent analytical skills and commercial awareness Interpersonal skills (nurturing talented teams, mentoring and developing staff, confident interacting with clients and management)
Support projects on valuation of businesses for raising capital, purchase • price allocations goodwill impairment etc. • Work on building and revieing financial models for discounted cah flow and market approach. • Prepare company, industry and economic reviews for valuations reports . •Identify comparable companies and compute various transactions related multiples. • Use comparable companies to compute weighted average cost of ca p i ta l (WACC) • obtain training on the relevant d a ta b a se s, acquire knowledge to deliver to use the d a ta b a se s e f f i ci e n tl y • Organize research findings into meaningful deliverables • Carry out other ad-hoc research based on instructions provided.
Ability to analyze and anticipate client requests, interpret asks and act according to expectations • Good reasoning and analytical ability • Good understanding of databases (Capital IQ, Bloomberg, Thomson One etc.) • Sound financial concepts
