Manager - Accounts & Finance

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Manager -Accounting and Finance to join our growing team. As an individual contributor, you will be responsible for a wide range of accounting functions, including but not limited to:

Full-cycle accounting:

• Bookkeeping and journal entries
• Bank reconciliations
• Accounts receivable and payable
• Invoice processing (both vendor and customer)
• Managing contracts with partner universities
• Raising invoices to partner universities

Taxation:

• GST filing
• TDS calculations and filings
• ITR filing

Payroll processing: Salary processing and related statutory compliances

Role & responsibilities:

• Ensure timely and accurate recording of all financial transactions.
• Prepare and file all relevant tax returns GST, TDS, etc.) on time.
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure timely payment of invoices.
• Process customer invoices and track receivables.
• Manage contracts with partner universities, including invoicing and payment reconciliation.
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and repots.
• Stay updated on all relevant accounting and tax laws and regulations.
• Contribute to the improvement of financial processes and controls.
• Work collaboratively with other departments within the organization.

Preferred candidate profile:

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance
• 5-7 years of relevant experience in accounting
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in MS Excel (including advanced functions like pivot tables, vlookup)
• Hands-on Experience with Xero i.e. accounting software would be an added advantage
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Ability to work independently
