Job Description

Role Overview: As a Management Trainee in Finance, you will be part of the Accounts Receivable (AR) team, where your meticulous and detail-oriented approach will be crucial in managing various financial processes. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the AR processes, ensuring timely collections, resolving client discrepancies, and maintaining accurate financial records. By playing a key role in improving cash flow and enhancing the company's financial position, you will contribute significantly to the overall success of the finance department. Key Responsibilities: - Invoicing: Prepare, verify, and send customer invoices promptly, focusing on accuracy and compliance with company policies. - Accounts Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile AR accounts and promptly investigate any discrepancies that arise. - Aging Reports: Prepare and review AR aging reports to identify overdue accounts and assess potential collection risks. - Credit Control: Evaluate customer creditworthiness and establish appropriate credit limits in collaboration with the AR Manager. - Process Improvements: Identify areas for enhancement in the AR process to boost efficiency and effectiveness. - Reporting: Aid in generating monthly AR reports, including metrics like DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) and collection forecasts. - Audit & Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal controls, company policies, and relevant regulations in all AR processes. Support audits related to AR when required. Qualification Required: - Education: A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is essential. An MBA in Finance would be considered a plus. - Experience: You should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, finance operations, or a similar role. - Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel is necessary for this position. - Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are required to effectively interact with customers and handle internal reporting. - Attention to Detail: The ability to manage a large volume of transactions with precision and accuracy is crucial. - Analytical Ability: Strong problem-solving skills and the capacity to analyze financial data and AR trends are fundamental. - Teamwork: You must be able to collaborate effectively with the AR team and other departments such as Sales and Customer Service. - Time Management: Strong organizational skills and the capability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines are essential for success in this role.,
