Maintenance Utility- Sr. Manager / AGM (For Well Known MNC)

Role & responsibilities

Job purpose-

• Responsible for recommending, planning, and executing Electrical power distribution, Utility and MEP sourcing and usage-plan.
• Oversees and plans utility and facility spending for Electrical services, Production support services like HVAC and compressed and facility improvement projects.

Main Responsibilities-

• Plans, organizes, schedules, and directs the design, maintenance, construction, renovation, and repair of organization MEP facilities.
• Develops plans and programs that meet present and anticipated facility requirements.
• Maintain 22KV HT incoming supply, conversion, substation and LT power distribution to entire plant
• Manage operation and maintenance of back up DG sets, uptime and upgradation.
• Manage and maintain UPS and power distribution.
• Coordination with state electricity supply agencies for planned shutdowns, changeover and incoming cable/switchgear maintenance.
• Maintain and file compliance norms for Electricity and Lift
• Monitors and inspects all buildings and equipment to ensure that utility systems are fully operational and that preventive maintenance schedules are being followed. Carry out planned and emergency maintenance.
• To make improvement on automation and BMS (building management system)
• To improve on renewable energy sourcing and usage and reduce carbon footprint.
• Prepares cost estimates for utility upgradation/renovations and space allocations. Evaluates completed work and checks for conformance to specifications.
• Ensure availability and capability of MEP utility and facility equipment including HVAC and compressed Air
• May direct the safety and/or security functions of the facilities.
• Ensure statutory and legal compliance
• Manage team of technicians and AMC contractors.
• Resource management and team development
• Must have electrical supervisory license
• Must qualify to take role of Electrical safety coordinator as per electricity board norm.

Competencies:

• HT power transmission, HT panel, switchgears
• LT power distribution, Panels
• Electrical relay logic and control system
• Common instrumentation
• Basic knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting Preferred
• Trouble shooting knowledge of electrical machines Motor, VFD
• Knowledge on Indian Electricity rules, compliance norms
• Compressor and HVAC knowledge will be preferred
• Being able to organize work and independently lead team of approx. 5-10 members.

Preferred candidate profile

• BE / B Tech, Diploma Electrical Engineering with 10-15 year of relevant experience
• Electrical supervisory license from state electricity board.
