Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, repair, and preventive maintenance of machinery and equipment used in the Printing and Packaging industry. Your role requires expertise in troubleshooting mechanical issues, maintaining production efficiency, and adhering to safety protocols. You will perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of printing and packaging machinery. Additionally, you will conduct preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and enhance efficiency. It will be your responsibility to diagnose mechanical faults and recommend appropriate corrective actions while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company maintenance procedures. You will also assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment. In this role, you will maintain records of maintenance activities, spare parts inventory, and equipment performance. Collaboration with production and quality teams to resolve mechanical issues will be essential. Monitoring and ensuring the proper functioning of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems will also be part of your duties. Adhering to safety, environmental, and operational standards in all maintenance activities is crucial. You will support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machine performance and reliability. Required Qualifications & Skills: - ITI Fitter / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. - Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in maintenance roles within the printing & packaging industry. - Strong knowledge of machine troubleshooting, mechanical systems, and preventive maintenance. - Experience working with hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment. - Ability to read technical drawings and equipment manuals. - Good problem-solving and analytical skills. - Familiarity with ISO standards and safety regulations. - Willingness to work in shifts and respond to emergency maintenance calls. Work Environment & Conditions: - Factory/plant environment with exposure to industrial machinery and tools. - Regular equipment inspections and repair activities. - May require lifting heavy components and working in confined spaces. - Shift-based work schedule with possible overtime as needed.
