Job Description

As a Maintenance Multi Skilled Shift Electrical Technician at Gartnavel General Hospital Estates Department, your role will involve maintaining a wide range of building services plant and equipment. Your responsibilities will include: - Providing technical expertise as needed and ensuring safe and efficient systems of work for all building services. - Offering electrical services to meet the needs of NHS GG&C Health Board and ensuring the safe delivery of patient care. - Carrying out planned preventative maintenance, examining and inspecting faults in plant and machinery, and recommending repair solutions. - Working in compliance with NHS GG&C Health and Safety and SHTM Policies and Procedures. - Undertaking minor alterations and modifications to existing services. - Organizing and managing your workload and priorities on a day-to-day basis. Qualifications required for this role include: - Recognized and registered EITB or CITB (or equivalent) craft Electrical Apprenticeship or City & Guilds appropriate qualification. - Competent tradesperson with extensive relevant experience in electrical building maintenance, preferably acquired in the health care sector. - Suitable qualification of an HNC or equivalent in a core subject with additional qualifications as required in non-core skills. - Designated individuals will need to undertake training to be certified as an Electrical Competent Person.
