Maintenance Technician I

As a Maintenance Technician at Marriott International, your role involves responding to and attending to guest repair requests. You will communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues and perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical room equipment. Your responsibilities will include: - Visually inspecting tools, equipment, or machines - Identifying, locating, and operating all shut-off valves for equipment and utility shut-offs for buildings - Maintaining maintenance inventory and requisitioning parts and supplies as needed - Communicating daily activities and problems to other shifts - Performing surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, and light bulb and A/C filter replacement - Testing, troubleshooting, and performing basic repairs on various equipment, plumbing, electrical components, and guestroom items - Programming TVs and performing general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties - Using the Lockout/Tagout system before performing maintenance work - Repairing interior and exterior landscaping and external landscaping sprinklers - Displaying basic computer skills for inputting air handler schedules and making temperature changes You should possess a high school diploma or G.E.D equivalent and have some experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation, and painting. Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance will be a plus. A driver's license is a required qualification for this position.
