Maintenance Technician I

As a Maintenance Technician at Fairfield by Marriott Lucknow, your primary responsibility will be to respond promptly to guest repair requests and effectively resolve maintenance issues. You will be required to perform preventive maintenance on various tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical room equipment, which includes cleaning and lubrication. It will be essential for you to visually inspect tools, equipment, and machines, and carry out tasks such as identifying, locating, and operating all shut-off valves for equipment and utility shut-offs for buildings. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining the maintenance inventory, requisitioning parts and supplies as needed, and communicating the day's activities and any occurring problems to other shifts using approved communication programs and standards. You should display or be willing to acquire basic knowledge in areas such as air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry, and energy conservation. Furthermore, you will be expected to perform a variety of tasks including surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, replacing light bulbs and A/C filters, as well as conducting basic repairs on equipment, plumbing, electrical components, and guestroom items. It will also be part of your duties to program TV's, carry out general housekeeping tasks, and manage engineering-related inventory duties. To excel in this role, you must adhere to all company safety and security policies and procedures, report any maintenance problems or safety hazards, complete safety training, and certifications. Maintaining a clean and professional appearance, protecting company assets, and providing exceptional guest service according to company standards are crucial aspects of this position. Your qualifications for this role include a high school diploma or G.E.D equivalent, a valid driver's license, and some experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation, and painting. Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance will be advantageous but is not mandatory. Supervisory experience is not required for this position.
