Maintenance Supervisor

As a Maintenance Supervisor at our skilled nursing facility, your primary responsibility will be to assist in the supervision of the Maintenance Department in compliance with federal, state, and local standards. Under the guidance of the Director of Maintenance, you will ensure that our facility is well-maintained to provide a safe and comfortable environment for our guests. Your role will entail overseeing the day-to-day maintenance functions of the assigned personnel, as well as participating in their orientation and training. It will be your responsibility to maintain an adequate supply of maintenance supplies for daily tasks and ensure that equipment is cleaned and stored properly at the end of each shift. Additionally, you will be required to label or tag equipment contaminated with infectious materials before sending it for repair or decontamination. In the event of emergencies or special circumstances, you may need to work beyond normal hours, including weekends and holidays. You should also be prepared to assist in other roles as needed to support the overall functioning of the facility. To excel in this position, you must possess a working knowledge of building and equipment repair. You should also be physically capable of moving intermittently throughout the workday, communicating effectively in English, and interacting with individuals who may be ill, disabled, or emotionally distressed. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently and over 100 pounds with assistance is essential, along with frequent carrying, pushing, and pulling of tools and equipment. In emergency situations, you may be required to assist in the evacuation of residents.
