Maintenance Mechanic (Compactor Equipment)

As a Maintenance Mechanic (Compactor Equipment), you will play a crucial role in maintaining the reliability and efficiency of compactor systems. Your hands-on experience in diagnosing and repairing compacting systems will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of the equipment. Key Responsibilities: - Perform maintenance and repairs on compactor systems of all makes as per maintenance and repair orders. - Diagnose and resolve electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues in compacting systems. - Inspect, test, and accurately record findings to facilitate necessary repairs. - Provide detailed labor and time estimates for required repairs. - Maintain up-to-date documentation for all repairs and uphold the integrity of the Preventive Maintenance (PM) program. - Contribute to fostering a safe, productive, and positive work environment. Qualifications: - Required experience in working with compacting systems such as trash compaction Rollers, road compactors, garbage and waste compactors, and Plate compactors. - Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems. - Welding and fabrication experience is essential. - Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills. - Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a focus on efficient solutions. - Team-oriented, flexible, and committed to delivering exceptional customer service. - Possession of a valid driver's license; CDL and DOT physical card are highly preferred. - Availability to work a flexible schedule, including potential overtime or weekend hours.
