The role of SMT Operator involves setting up SMT Machines and ensuring their proper operation. You should have knowledge of safety procedures and the operation of Pick-n-Place machines as per work instructions or equipment manuals. It is important to load feeders according to the setup sheet using work instructions or machine manuals and understand feeder sizes and pitches. Additionally, you should have component identification knowledge and be able to verify components and feeders based on job cards. As an SMT Operator, you will need to restock parts by bin location, confirm that Traveler & BOM revisions match, and determine which SMT line product will be run. You should be able to load programs on machines and print out documentation for the job, including setup sheets. Basic operation tasks include running Pick & Place and reflow ovens, performing machine operator processes, making minor machine adjustments, and monitoring machine operation. You should also have an understanding of the solder paste print process and be able to write and read in English to complete Batch Log and Parts Changeover Logs. Recording production information such as production levels, machine downtime, and defects is also part of the job responsibilities. Knowledge of safety and operation of AOI machine, along with the ability to run AOI machine independently, is required. Product inspection tasks involve conducting in-process inspection and visually inspecting assemblies for various quality parameters. The ideal candidate for this role should have 2 to 5 years of experience in the Electronics or Electrical industry, preferably in Electronic Manufacturing Services. This is a full-time position with benefits such as Provident Fund. The work schedule is during the day with the possibility of performance bonuses and shift allowances.
