1. Position Summary

The Maintenance Engineer (Instrumentation, Electronics & Communication) is responsible for preventive and breakdown maintenance of plant instrumentation, electronic systems, automation controls, and industrial communication networks to ensure smooth, safe, and reliable plant operations.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Instrumentation Maintenance

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of process instruments.
• Conduct calibration and verification of field instruments.
• Carry out loop checks, panel troubleshooting, and instrument configuration.
• Maintain calibration records and spare parts inventory.

B. Electronics & Control Systems

• Troubleshoot PLC, SCADA, DCS, HMI, and control panels.
• Assist in logic modification and automation improvements.
• Maintain backups of programs and drawings.

C. Communication & Networking

• Maintain industrial communication protocols like Modbus, Profibus, Profinet.
• Troubleshoot communication issues between PLCs, SCADA, and field devices.

D. Project & Installation Support

• Support installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors.

E. Safety & Compliance

• Follow LOTO, PPE, and safety procedures.
• Support ISO and statutory audits.

3. Skills & Competencies

• PLC/SCADA troubleshooting

• Problem-solving and teamwork

4. Qualifications

• Diploma / B.Tech / BE in Instrumentation, E&C or equivalent
• Certifications in PLC/SCADA or automation are an advantage

• Documentation compliance
