Maintenance Electrician

A Maintenance Electrician plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of electrical systems within a facility. You will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical wiring and equipment. Your responsibilities will include inspecting and maintaining electrical systems, equipment, and components regularly to prevent malfunctions, troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical issues, performing preventive maintenance on electrical panels, transformers, and circuit breakers, installing and repairing wiring, electrical fixtures, and control equipment within the facility, ensuring compliance with local electrical codes and safety standards, preparing detailed reports documenting inspections, maintenance, and repair work, collaborating with other maintenance staff to complete large projects efficiently, maintaining an inventory of necessary electrical components and ordering replacements as needed, conducting tests and troubleshooting equipment using electrical testing devices, assisting in developing and implementing maintenance strategies to increase equipment reliability, providing technical support and training to peers and maintenance staff, and ensuring all work is performed in accordance with company and industry safety procedures. To qualify for this role, you should have proven experience as a Maintenance Electrician or in a similar role, hold a valid electrician's license or Journeyman certification, possess in-depth knowledge of electrical and safety codes, regulations, and best practices, demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently, be able to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and electrical schematics accurately, maintain excellent physical condition and manual dexterity for working with electrical systems, exhibit strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with a team and report findings.
