Maintenance and Production Engineer- Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV)

Role & responsibilities

1. Establish production infrastructure for Depot Level repairs of

   Heron/Searcher UAV Systems.

2. Establish Processes for

   Depot Level repairs of Heron/Searcher UAV Systems.

3. Provide inputs to Engineering in the formulation of EOs and SBs.
4. Create draft route cards and task cards to implement and record activities under EOs/technical instructions.
5. Plan and monitor

   Depot Level repairs of LRUs of Heron/Searcher.

6. Plan and monitor

   Wiring Repairs of UAVs and Ground Station.

7. Plan and monitor

   Software and Hardware Upgrades on UAV System/ Sub Systems.

8. Plan and coordinate all resources required to establish production targets.
9. Monitor productivity rates and product standards and implement quality control programmes.
10. Monitor the

    production processes

    and adjust schedules as needed.
11. Ensure serviceability and reliability of all production-related infrastructure.
12. Take on any other additional Administrative/Technical responsibilities/tasks as assigned.

13. Perform Configuration Management.

14. To get associated with the system engineer for

    Incident/Accident investigation using DAS at UAV Bases

    , as and when required.

Preferred candidate profile

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Degree in Electronics/Electrical/ ECE Engineering.

• O Level and I Level Maintenance Course (Electronics) for Heron/Searcher UAV Systems conducted by OEM/UAV TETTRA.

• System Engineer Course conducted by OEM.
• Knowledge of Computer Networking Hardware and Software.
• Knowledge of

  Guidance & Tracking Systems.

• Knowledge of Communication Systems.
• Knowledge of ERP System (Desirable).

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 04 years experience in O Level Maintenance at Heron/Searcher UAV Base of Indian Armed Forces.
• Minimum 02 years’ experience in ‘I’ Level Maintenance of Electronic Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) of Heron/Searcher UAV System.
• Experience in Production Engineering Department of Army Base Workshop/Airforce Base Repair Depot/Naval Dockyard (Desirable)
• Experience in maintenance of Radar Tracking and Guidance Systems (Desirable).
• Experience in maintenance of Laser & Thermal Imaging Systems (Desirable).
• Experience in working with ERP system for Production Engineering Tasks (Desirable).
