Mainframe Hardware Test Engineer

Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Test standard and custom products and hardware to assess functionality, performance and reliability. Serve as a primary source for problem identification and improvement. Select testing specifications for new and existing program product solutions. Ensure testing procedures comply with industry standards. Document procedures for all phases of testing and test results. Improve and automate the test methodology. Manage large projects or processes with limited oversight from the manager. Coach, review, and delegate work to lower-level professionals. Address difficult and often complex problems. What youll bring Qualifications: Advanced education and extensive work experience in mainframe programming. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex issues. Excellent project management skills. Ability to coach and mentor junior professionals. Strong documentation and communication skills. Experience with industry-standard testing procedures and quality standards. Preferred Skills: Experience with automation tools and methodologies. Familiarity with industry standards and compliance requirements. Proven track record of managing large projects successfully.
