Mainframe Developer-Tech Lead-Assistant Vice President

As an Applications Development Intermediate Programmer Analyst at Citi, your role involves participating in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs. You will work in coordination with the Technology team to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities. Your responsibilities include: - Utilizing knowledge of applications development procedures and concepts to identify necessary system enhancements - Consulting with users, clients, and other technology groups to recommend programming solutions - Analyzing applications to identify vulnerabilities, security issues, and conducting testing and debugging - Serving as an advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts - Identifying problems, analyzing information, and recommending and implementing solutions - Resolving issues independently with limited direct supervision - Acting as a subject matter expert to senior stakeholders and team members - Demonstrating risk assessment skills in business decisions - Writing excellent-quality code based on functional requirements and meeting agile implementation deadlines - Contributing to concept models, design, and system architectures - Building, deploying, and testing application components in a development environment - Providing expertise in technical analysis and solving technical issues during project delivery - Conducting code reviews, test case reviews, and ensuring developed code meets requirements Qualifications required for this role include: - 9-12 years of strong mainframe experience with COBOL/JCL/CICS/VSAM/DB2 - Strong design and development skills in the technical stack mentioned above - Financial services domain experience - Excellent communication, analytical skills, and problem-solving experience - Ability to work proactively and independently in a culturally diverse background - Good time management skills Education: - Bachelors degree/University degree or equivalent experience This job description provides a summary of the work performed as an Applications Development Intermediate Programmer Analyst at Citi.
