Mainframe DB2 System Programmer

As a Mainframe DB2 System Admin System Programmer, you will be responsible for installing, customizing, and maintaining software products related to Mainframe DB2 and data replication suite. With 7 years of experience, you will work in a data sharing SysPlex environment, utilizing resources effectively for problem determination, product enhancements, and technical issues. Your strong problem-solving skills will be crucial in both system and application areas. You should have the ability to work independently or as part of a team with other subject matter experts and infrastructure DBAs. Your proactive approach will be essential in contributing to solution improvements and optimizations. Your tasks will include performing database software upgrades, administration, tuning, establishing policies and procedures for database management, disaster recovery, security, maintenance, and utilization. Analyzing new versions of DB2 for enhanced functionality, performance data collection, analysis, tuning, and executing project responsibilities are key aspects of this role. You will also be involved in incident and problem management activities related to applications and DB2, performing diagnostics, resolution, change management, and collaborating with team members, functional users, and vendors for project implementation. Providing 24/7 on-call support for Mainframe Infrastructure, developing operational documentation, best practices, run books, and implementing tools and procedures for a stable environment are essential tasks. Your technical expertise in DB2 Sys Prog, DB2 Sys Admin, Mainframe DB2 System Programmer, Mainframe DB2 System Admin, and DB2 Sys Prog ZOS will be utilized effectively in this role.
