Job Type: Full-Time Experience: 4-5 years (preferably in the Packaging & Machine Automation Industry) Department: Engineering / Automation About the Role We are seeking a skilled and experienced Machine & Automation Design Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will have 4-5 years of hands-on experience in Designing Automated Machinery as well as Automation Systems, with a preference for backgrounds in the packaging industry . You will be responsible for developing custom automated solutions that enhance efficiency, reliability, and product throughput across our packaging lines. Key Responsibilities Design and develop Automation Solutions for Packaging Machinery, Including Material handling and transferring systems, palletizing systems etc. Create concepts and 3D models, assembly drawings, and detailed fabrication and machining drawings using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD). The candidate should have a strong understanding of basic mechanical motion systems, be capable of performing technical calculations, selecting appropriate materials and electronic components for automation applications, and possess hands-on experience in reverse engineering of mechanical assemblies and systems. Lead the prototyping, testing, and validation of automation systems to ensure performance, safety, and reliability. Support commissioning and troubleshooting of equipment on-site and remotely. Prepare and maintain design documentation, BOMs, and assembly instructions. Work cross-functionally with production, quality, and project management teams. Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field. 4-5 years of experience in machine design and automation, with at least 3 years in the packaging industry . Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred). Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including pneumatics, hydraulics, servo motors, sensors, conveyors, and robotic integration. Familiarity with PLC systems (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and understanding of basic electrical control schematics. Excellent problem-solving and project management skills. Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
