The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating Vertical Machining Centers (VMCs) , particularly those using HAAS and MAZAK controllers . A strong understanding of tool and cutter selection , workpiece clamping , and interpreting 2D/3D technical drawings is essential. Key Responsibilities: Machine Setup & Operation: Set up and operate VMC machines as per job requirements. Load and unload workpieces, select appropriate tools, and ensure correct offsets and parameters. Programming: Create and modify CNC programs using G-code/M-code or CAM software. Optimize machining strategies for accuracy, finish, and efficiency. Tooling Knowledge: Select appropriate tools, holders, and cutting parameters based on material and part geometry.
