Luxury Fashion Buying Merchandiser

As a full-time on-site Merchandise Buyer for a High-end Luxury Fashion brand in Mumbai, you will play a crucial role in selecting and purchasing quality merchandise, conducting market research, managing inventory levels, and maintaining relationships with suppliers and vendors. Your tasks will include negotiating contracts, analyzing sales data, and developing sourcing plans to support the brand's growth within the premium fashion retail industry. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in planning, selecting, and buying luxury fashion merchandise in alignment with brand aesthetics and seasonal trends across categories like apparel, accessories, and footwear. - Conduct research on emerging designers, seasonal trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior to make data-informed buying decisions. - Communicate with luxury brands, manage supplier relationships, and negotiate pricing, exclusivity, and delivery timelines. - Support the creation of seasonal assortment plans, manage inventory levels, and collaborate with planners and supply chain teams. - Analyze sales reports and SKU performance to optimize buys, drive reorders, and plan markdowns as necessary. - Coordinate with visual merchandising, marketing, and digital teams for new product launches, promotional campaigns, and brand stories. - Attend buying appointments, trade shows, and international fashion events to represent the brand and source new collections. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Luxury Brand Management, Business, or related field. - Minimum of 2 years of experience in fashion buying or merchandising, preferably in luxury or high-end contemporary. - Excellent fashion sensibility with knowledge of designers, fabrics, cuts, and brand positioning. - Strong analytical and numerical skills with the ability to interpret data for informed buying decisions. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and retail tools like ERP, Zoho, etc. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Proactive mindset, high attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects. - Availability to travel for market appointments or buying trips when required.,
