Role & responsibilities

1. Reviewing Raw Footage:

• • Watch and evaluate all video clips and materials to understand the content.
• • Identify the best shots and sequences to use.
• 2. Editing and Assembling Clips:
• • Cut, trim, and arrange clips in a logical and appealing sequence.
• • Merge various audio, video, and graphics layers smoothly.
• 3. Adding Effects and Transitions:
• • Incorporate visual effects, transitions, titles, and animations to enhance storytelling.
• • Use color correction and grading to improve image quality and mood.
• 4. Synchronizing Audio and Video:
• • Align audio tracks (dialogue, music, sound effects) accurately with video.
• • Adjust volume levels, add sound effects or background music for impact.
• 5. Collaborating with the Team:
• • Work closely with directors, producers, and other creatives to understand the vision.
• • Incorporate feedback and make revisions as needed.
• 6. Ensuring Technical Quality:
• • Export videos in required formats and resolutions.
• • Ensure videos meet platform specifications and quality standards.
• 7. Managing Project Files and Archives:
• • Organize footage, project files, and assets systematically.
• • Maintain backups and archive completed projects.

Preferred candidate profile

Educational Background:

• • Degree or diploma in Film, Media, Multimedia, Digital Arts, or a related field (preferred but not always mandatory).
• • Relevant certifications or courses in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).

Technical Skills:

• • Proficient in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Avid Media Composer, or DaVinci Resolve.
• • Knowledge of motion graphics and animation tools like Adobe After Effects is a plus.
• • Strong understanding of video formats, codecs, and export settings.
• • Basic sound editing skills and experience with audio software (e.g., Adobe Audition).
• • Experience with color grading and correction.
