Logistic Import & Export Manager

Job Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all import and export logistics operations, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations.
• Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs authorities, and internal teams to ensure smooth flow of goods.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize import/export processes, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation for shipments, customs clearance, and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of goods for export.
• Collaborate with procurement, sales, and finance departments to align logistics operations with business objectives.
• Handle risk management related to international shipping, including insurance and dispute resolution.
• Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards in logistics operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of proven experience in logistic import and export management.
• Strong knowledge of customs regulations, international trade laws, and documentation procedures.
• Proficiency in logistics software (ERP, SAP, or similar).
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills for dealing with vendors and authorities.
• Ability to analyze data and generate reports to support decision-making.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.

Preferred Attributes

• Certification in International Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
• Experience in handling multi-country exports and imports.
• Familiarity with Incoterms and international shipping practices.
• Leadership qualities to manage and mentor a logistics team effectively.
