Job Summary:

The Transport Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating all transportation activities, including vehicle scheduling, routing, and driver assignments, to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective transport operations. The role ensures compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and supports smooth day-to-day logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate transportation of employees, goods, and materials.
• Assign vehicles and drivers based on operational needs and priorities.
• Monitor and track vehicle usage, routes, mileage, and fuel consumption.
• Ensure compliance with traffic laws, safety standards, and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, driver logs, and vehicle maintenance.
• Coordinate vehicle servicing, repairs, and inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
• Handle transport-related issues, delays, or emergencies promptly.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, staff, and management to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist in budgeting, cost control, and vendor/contractor management for transport services.
• Support compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in transportation or logistics coordination.
• Strong knowledge of transport regulations, routes, and fleet management.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and fleet management software (if applicable).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Valid driver’s license (light/heavy vehicle license may be an advantage).

• Ernakulam North, Kochi, Kerala: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
