Linen supervises the day-to-day working of the department.

Exchange of clean and used linen (Both wards and laundry).as per linen ratio.
Any issue regarding laundry (for example: -rewashing of linen, delivery and collection timings, dues, ironing etc.) Communicates with the laundry authorities & resolves the issues on day-to-day basis.
The proper dispatch of soiled/infected linen from wards to laundry i.e. in closed system.
To control to the quality of washed linen received.
Confirms the documented stock in the ward during surprise visits.
Supervise and coordinate the activities of linen room staff including attendants, sorters, and delivery personnel.
Monitor collection and distribution of soiled and clean linen across all departments.
Ensure proper segregation, handling, and dispatch of infected/contaminated linen as per hospital infection control protocols.
Maintain accurate linen inventory and usage records.
Coordinate with laundry contractors/vendors and ensure timely delivery and quality of linen.
Inspect linen for damage or wear and arrange for repair or replacement.
Implement and monitor linen usage policies to minimize wastage and loss.
Ensure that linen storage and distribution areas are clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
Train and evaluate linen room staff, promoting a culture of hygiene and accountability.
Report any discrepancies, delays, or operational issues to management.
Prepare and submit reports on linen consumption, stock levels, and vendor performance.
