Linen Assistant

osition: Linen Attendant / Laundry Assistant

Reports to: Laundry Supervisor / Housekeeping Incharge

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect used/dirty linen from various hospital wards, ICUs, and departments.
• Count and record linen items before dispatching them for washing.
• Segregate linen as per hospital protocol (e.g., general, infected, OT linen).
• Ensure timely dispatch of dirty linen to the laundry unit.
• Receive cleaned linen from laundry and verify quantity and quality.
• Distribute cleaned and ironed linen to respective hospital units.
• Maintain linen inventory and usage records.
• Coordinate with laundry staff and hospital departments for smooth linen flow.
• Follow infection control protocols and hygiene standards.
• Report damaged or missing linen to the supervisor.

Required Skills:

• Basic record-keeping
• Attention to hygiene and cleanliness
• Ability to handle soiled material safely
• Good physical stamina
• Understanding of hospital linen protocols

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹12,000.00 per month

Expected hours: No less than 36 per week
