Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Ensure compliance with industrial safety rules and regulations across all operations.
Manage and monitor worker safety in medium to large-scale industrial environments.
Possess strong knowledge of hazard identification, types of hazards, and proper usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as per applicable work standards.
Conduct regular safety audits, prepare reports, and ensure timely closure of identified issues.
Coordinate and follow up on safety audits with senior officials, ensuring corrective actions are implemented promptly.
Identify and investigate hazards and unsafe acts, and drive corrective measures for risk mitigation.
Hold a valid LMV driving license with more than 8 years of driving experience.
Certifications in industrial safety and driving-related courses will be considered an added advantage.
Familiarity with OHSAS and ISO 14001 standards for workplace safety and environmental management.
Deliver safety training to new joiners, covering departmental objectives and safe work practices.
Assess and evaluate operators post-training to ensure compliance and understanding.
Act as Training Coordinator, identifying training needs and ensuring participation as per requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

1. Knowledge of hazard identification, risk assessment, and mitigation.

2. Exposure to OHSAS 18001 / ISO 14001 systems.

3. Ability to conduct safety audits, investigations, and training programs.

4. Industrial Safety Certification preferred.
