Job Description: We are seeking a Lifting Operations Specialist with extensive experience and a passion for developing competence in lifting operations. This role involves delivering high-quality training aligned with industry standards, ensuring safety compliance, and driving excellence in lifting operations. Responsibilities: Training Delivery: Deliver comprehensive courses on lifting operations, rigging, and crane activities, adhering to OPITO and LEEA standards. Customize training content to meet industry needs and enhance participant learning. LOLER Compliance Leadership: Prepare, review, and approve lifting plans, ensuring compliance with LOLER regulations. Act as the LOLER Competent Authority for IMOST Academy. Assessments and Evaluations: Conduct on-site and classroom competency assessments for rigging, banksman activities, and crane operations. Maintain accurate records of assessments and provide constructive feedback to trainees. Equipment Oversight: Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of lifting equipment to ensure compliance with safety protocols. Provide guidance on proper usage and storage of lifting equipment. Quality Assurance: Ensure alignment with OPITO Industry Standards in training and assessment. Participate in standardization meetings and stay updated on industry regulations. Requirements:Experience: Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in lifting operations, including rigging, crane operations, and banksman activities. Certifications: Mandatory: LOLER Competent Person or LEEA Appointed Person certification. OPITO Rigger Competence Assessment (Stage 3). Banksman Competence Assessment (Stage 3). Preferred: Train the Trainer Qualification or Assessor Qualification. Health & Safety Certification . Technical Competence: Strong knowledge of lifting operations regulations, including LOLER and OPITO standards. Proficient in preparing and reviewing lifting plans and procedures. Instructional Skills: Proven experience in delivering training and conducting assessments. Knowledge of instructional and evaluation techniques, with an industry-recognized assessor qualification.
