Liferay Developer

You are an experienced and solution-oriented Liferay Developer joining a team in Hyderabad. Your extensive experience includes working with Liferay DXP 7.0+, a strong background in Java and frontend technologies, and a passion for building enterprise-grade portals and digital platforms. Your responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining Liferay-based solutions, integrating with various backend systems, and delivering high-quality applications across the full SDLC. You will design and develop enterprise-level web applications using Liferay DXP 7.0+, implement custom portlets, themes, layouts, hooks, and extensions in Liferay, and build and configure content management, workflow, and role-based access control models within the Liferay platform. Additionally, you will integrate Liferay with internal and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver user-centric solutions aligned with business goals, and develop reusable code and libraries for future use. Your role also involves optimizing application performance, scalability, and security in production environments, participating in code reviews, providing mentorship to junior developers, enforcing coding standards, working on production support and routine system maintenance activities, and implementing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins while managing tasks in Jira or other Agile tools. Key Skills: - Strong hands-on experience with Liferay DXP 7 or higher (customization, extension, deployment) - Proficiency in Java/J2EE, including Spring, Hibernate, and design patterns - Solid frontend development experience using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, React - Strong understanding of RESTful and SOAP-based web services - Experience working in Agile/Scrum methodologies - Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Maven, Git - Experience in architecting Liferay-based enterprise solutions - Exposure to mobile-optimized Liferay portals or hybrid mobile development frameworks - Knowledge of performance tuning, SQL query optimization, and database troubleshooting - Familiarity with cloud deployments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus - Experience with Liferay upgrade/migration Qualifications: - Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field Desired Skills: - Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment - Attention to detail with a strong focus on quality and user experience,
