Requirement:
Good knowledge as a Lifeboat technician, Good in English, and Ability to work under pressure.
Role and Responsibility:
Lifeboat technician:
Adequate knowledge of class, flag, and maker requirements
Annual thorough examination and operational test
Five-year thorough examination, overhaul and overload operational tests
Conventional lifeboat (Port & Stbd side), freefall lifeboat, rescue boat Annual thorough examination, and operational test
On load/ offload release gears, hooks annual thorough examination and operational test, release/ resetting, overload test, and overhauling
The operational test of the davit-launched liferaft automatic release function s
Launching appliances for lifeboats (including free-fall lifeboats), rescue boats thorough examination and operational test and five yearly load tests
Winch brake test annually and five yearly
Replacement/ repairing of brake parts and other necessary required parts of lifeboat/ launching appliances
Fall wires renewal
Solas equipment s checking
Operation of lifeboat/ rescue boat engines and other items
Pre-inspection report and preparation of Reports/ statements/ checklist
