Job Overview

We are seeking a technically strong, field-smart LiDAR/GIS Processing & Survey Coordinator. The role bridges field data acquisition and office-based processing, ensuring accurate LiDAR deliverables while guiding the DGPS/GCP team in the field. The ideal candidate is a GIS expert with LiDAR processing knowledge and can coordinate between drone pilots, survey teams, and clients.

Key Responsibilities

• GCP Planning & Coordination: Plan and advise DGPS/survey teams on accurate Ground Control Point placement for LiDAR surveys.
• LiDAR Data Processing: Convert raw LiDAR data into georeferenced .laz/.las files, classify points, and generate Digital Terrain Models (DTM) and Digital Surface Models (DSM).
• GIS Deliverables: Prepare orthomosaic imagery, contour maps (1m & 5m), shapefiles, and AutoCAD drawings (.dwg) for client submission.
• Quality Control: Verify data accuracy, point density, strip alignment, and post-processing consistency.
• Field Coordination: Work closely with drone pilots and survey teams on-site to ensure smooth data acquisition.
• Documentation & Reports: Maintain metadata, flight logs, project notes, and basic quality reports for clients.
• Office Duties: On non-field days, perform data management, mission planning, and pre/post-flight processing tasks from the Chennai office.

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience in GIS (ArcGIS, QGIS) and LiDAR data processing.
• Hands-on knowledge of LiDAR processing tools: DJI Terra, LiDAR360, TerraScan, or similar.
• Understanding of coordinate systems, projections, and georeferencing.
• Experience in GCP planning and survey coordination.
• Comfortable handling large datasets and generating multiple deliverables (.laz/.las, DTM/DSM, contours, orthomosaics, shapefiles, .dwg).
• Background in Geoinformatics, Civil Engineering, Surveying, or Remote Sensing preferred.
• Willingness to travel frequently for field projects across India.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
