The Advocacy Skills Trainer role involves delivering high-quality, practice-oriented training sessions to law students, young advocates, and legal professionals, with a focus on courtroom advocacy, trial practice, and related legal skills. Your responsibilities will include conducting engaging and interactive training sessions, demonstrating practical advocacy techniques through simulations and role-plays, adapting teaching methodologies to suit participants of varying experience levels, developing and updating training materials, providing one-on-one coaching and feedback to improve participants" advocacy style, designing assessment tools to evaluate performance, collaborating with the Academic Head and Content Development Team, and staying updated on emerging trends in advocacy and litigation strategies. To qualify for this role, you must hold an LL.B. degree (mandatory) and preferably an LL.M. in Litigation/Advocacy/Criminal or Civil Procedure, have a minimum of 5 years of active litigation experience in trial courts or higher judiciary, a proven track record in courtroom appearances and advocacy work, and prior experience as a trainer, law school faculty, or workshop facilitator is preferred. Key skills required include strong verbal communication and presentation skills, the ability to simplify complex legal procedures into practical steps, motivation and inspiration of participants, and an excellent command over courtroom etiquette and persuasive argumentation. The ideal candidate should possess practical expertise with hands-on litigation experience and deep procedural knowledge, teaching excellence in engaging and delivering measurable learning outcomes, adaptability in teaching style to suit varied participant needs, and professionalism in upholding high ethical standards in and outside the classroom.
