Job Summary: A skilled Contract Manager is required to oversee the full lifecycle of contracts in construction projects from tendering and negotiation to execution and closeout. The role ensures compliance, manages risk, documents variations, and maintains strong vendor and stakeholder relationships. Key Responsibilities: Draft, review, and manage contracts, BOQs, and technical/commercial terms. Float tenders, evaluate bids, and lead vendor/contractor negotiations. Issue LOIs, Work Orders, and Agreements with accurate and enforceable terms. Monitor project progress and enforce milestone compliance and deliverables. Identify and document scope, quantity, drawing, and approval changes that may lead to claims. Track delays, disruptions, or owner-side negligence for potential claims. Maintain all project documentation, including correspondence and change orders. Demonstrate a solid understanding of legal terminology and contractual clauses. Coordinate across departments (legal, finance, engineering, site) for contract alignment. Ensure contractor compliance with statutory obligations (PF, ESI, insurance, etc.). Use ERP/SAP systems for contract tracking, billing, and reporting. Archive key project records in a searchable digital repository. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Minimum 8 years of experience in contract management within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of construction law, claims, and project finance.
