Legal Intern

As a Legal Intern at Exponent Energy, you will have the opportunity to work at the intersection of law, technology, and sustainability, supporting various legal functions critical to the operations of a fast-growing energy company. The role involves the following key responsibilities: - Organizing and maintaining internal databases and tools for tracking legal obligations, risks, and exposures. - Conducting legal research on laws, regulations, and compliance requirements, with a focus on electric vehicles, batteries, cells, charging infrastructure, imports, and the energy supply chain. - Assisting the legal team in drafting, reviewing, and editing contracts and contract templates. - Proofreading legal documents to ensure accuracy and completeness. - Maintaining quality control throughout the contract lifecycle. - Creating and managing a centralized contract repository for effective contract management and compliance tracking. - Providing general legal and administrative support across a wide range of legal activities and projects. We are looking for candidates who are currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a 3-year or 5-year LL.B. program, preferably in the final year. You should have a strong interest in corporate, commercial, and regulatory law, particularly in the energy and mobility sectors. Additionally, you should be detail-oriented with excellent organizational, legal research, and drafting skills. The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic work environment is essential. Proficiency in MS Office or Google Workspace is required, and familiarity with contract management tools is a plus.
