Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Legal Research:

  • Conduct legal research to stay informed about relevant laws, regulations, and legal precedents.
  • Analyze and summarize legal information for use by the legal team.

Document Drafting:

  • Prepare and draft legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and other legal correspondence.
  • Assist in the review and editing of legal documents drafted by other team members.
  • Contract Management:
  • Assist in the negotiation, drafting, and review of contracts.
  • Ensure that all contracts comply with legal requirements and organizational policies.

Compliance:

  • Monitor changes in laws and regulations to ensure the organization's compliance.
  • Assist in developing and implementing compliance policies and procedures.

Case Management:

  • Support in the preparation of legal documents for litigation and other legal proceedings.
  • Assist in managing legal cases, including document preparation, filing, and coordination with external legal counsel.

Administrative Support:

  • Provide administrative support to the legal team, including managing schedules, arranging meetings, and maintaining legal files.

Communication:

  • Communicate with internal stakeholders and external parties on legal matters.
  • Assist in preparing reports and updates for management.

Risk Assessment:

  • Identify and assess potential legal risks to the organization.
  • Collaborate with the legal team to develop strategies for mitigating legal risks.
  • Training and Education:
  • Provide training to employees on legal issues and compliance matters.
  • Keep the team informed about changes in laws and regulations that may impact the organization.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Law or a related field.
  • Legal certification or qualification may be required.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with relevant legal software and tools.
