Legal Counsel - Commercial Contracts

Role Overview: You will be joining the legal team at SUN Mobility as an experienced Legal Counsel to contribute to the mission of revolutionizing electric mobility. Your role will involve drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various commercial contracts, identifying legal risks, supporting regulatory compliance, building relationships, improving legal processes, and working closely with cross-functional teams to resolve legal and business challenges. Key Responsibilities: - Draft, review, and negotiate a range of commercial contracts such as supply chain contracts, vendor agreements, customer deals, and NDAs. - Identify legal risks and provide practical, business-friendly solutions while analyzing risks and strategic opportunities. - Support regulatory compliance and licensing matters in India. - Build strong relationships internally and externally. - Improve internal legal processes, templates, and policies. - Assist with data, labor, and privacy issues as required. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address legal and business challenges. - Ensure all necessary approvals are obtained before contract execution. - Exercise good judgment in legal and business decisions, offering contract interpretations and guidance for compliance. Qualifications Required: - 7+ years of experience in commercial contracting, particularly in the energy, EV, or engineering manufacturing sector. - Graduation or Post graduation in legal field. - Experience in handling commercial and large value transactions independently. - Comfortable with multitasking and taking ownership. - Strong communication skills, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities. - Business-oriented mindset with a desire to make a real impact through legal work. - Ability to work effectively with various functions. - Speaking multiple Indian languages is an added advantage.,
