This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Salary range: Rs 500000 - Rs 800000 (ie INR 5-8 LPA) Min Experience: 2 years Location: Chennai JobType: full-time Requirements Job Responsibilities: Legal Advisory & Strategy Provide expert legal counsel on all aspects of real estate transactions, including acquisition, development, leasing, and sales. Advise on zoning laws, land use regulations, environmental compliance, and other legal matters impacting real estate operations. Contract Drafting & Negotiation Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including purchase agreements, lease agreements, joint venture agreements, and construction contracts. Ensure all agreements are legally sound and aligned with organizational objectives. Due Diligence & Regulatory Compliance Conduct thorough due diligence to identify and evaluate potential legal risks in real estate transactions. Ensure strict compliance with applicable local, state, and federal real estate laws and regulatory frameworks. Litigation & Dispute Resolution Support litigation matters involving real estate disputes, including coordination with external counsel. Assist in mediation, arbitration, and other forms of alternative dispute resolution. Stakeholder & Client Engagement Maintain strong working relationships with internal teams, clients, government bodies, and external legal advisors. Provide strategic legal advice to stakeholders on risk mitigation and project execution. Legal Research & Documentation Stay informed on updates and changes in real estate laws and industry practices. Prepare legal opinions, research briefs, and reports to support internal decision-making.
