Role Overview

Legal Compliance Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and statutory requirements (Companies Act, Factories Act, Labor Laws, Environmental Laws, etc.).
• Manage all licenses, permits, and statutory registrations required for manufacturing operations.
• Monitor changes in laws and regulations impacting the business and ensure timely implementation.

• Legal Advisory & Risk Management

• Provide legal advice to management and business functions on contracts, agreements, and compliance matters.
• Identify potential compliance risks, recommend mitigation measures, and implement compliance controls.
• Manage internal/external audits related to legal and statutory compliance.

• Contracts & Documentation

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, vendor agreements, NDAs, and other legal documents.
• Maintain proper documentation and record-keeping of all contracts and compliance-related records.

• Litigation & Dispute Management

• Coordinate with external counsels for litigation, arbitration, and regulatory proceedings.
• Represent the company in interactions with regulators, statutory authorities, and legal bodies.

• Compliance Programs & Training

• Develop and implement compliance policies, SOPs, and internal controls.
• Conduct training and awareness programs for employees on compliance-related matters (POSH, Code of Conduct, etc.).
  

Key Requirements

• Law graduate (LL.B/LL.M) from a reputed institution.
• 810 years of experience in legal and compliance, preferably in a

  manufacturing or industrial setup

  .
• Strong knowledge of corporate, commercial, labor, and environmental laws.
• Hands-on experience with regulatory filings, audits, and liaising with government authorities.
• Excellent contract management, drafting, and negotiation skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and ensure proactive compliance culture.
