Position:

Role Overview:

We are seeking a qualified lawyer with 57 years of post-qualification experience to join our legal team. The candidate will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, managing arbitration matters, and supporting refinancing transactions with lenders. The role requires a sound understanding of infrastructure projects, financing structures, and dispute resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate various project and commercial agreements including vendor, subcontracting and customer agreements, drafting of legal notices and its reply and other various other legal documents.
• Provide legal support in arbitration, litigation and dispute resolution, including liaising with external counsel, preparing briefs, and strategizing for ongoing matters.
• Drafting and review of documents with respect on ongoing litigations including arbitration, conciliation such petitions, written statements, replies, rejoinders, counterclaims, amendments, applications and other documents
• Assist in reviewing , negotiating, and executing refinancing agreements with banks and financial institutions.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, contractual obligations, and regulatory frameworks relevant to the infrastructure sector.
• Provide proactive legal advice to Management and internal stakeholders for various projects and transactions.
• Maintain documentation, records, and contract management systems.
• Support in general corporate advisory, governance, company secretarial, policy framework and risk management matters as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

• LL.B. degree from a recognized university; additional qualifications (LL.M., CS) preferred but not mandatory.
• 5–7 years of relevant experience, preferably in infrastructure companies, law firms handling infra-related matters.
• Strong expertise in contract drafting, arbitration/dispute management, and banking & finance transactions.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments in a time-sensitive environment.
• Sound analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities.
