Job Description

Legal Advisor

Key Responsibilities:

1. Draft, review, and vet various agreements, contracts, and legal documents.

2. Prepare necessary legal documents for court proceedings, trials, and hearings.

3. Handle litigations and represent the company before courts, tribunals, and statutory authorities.

4. Safeguard the company from potential legal risks, violations, or disputes.

5. Maintain regular liaison with government departments, legal authorities, and external legal counsel for smooth resolution of matters.

6. Advise management on corporate laws, regulatory requirements, and compliance-related issues.

7. Ensure the company complies with all statutory and legal frameworks applicable to business operations.

8. Stay updated with legal developments, amendments, court rulings, and industry-specific regulations.

9. Provide legal insights on business strategies, transactions, mergers, partnerships, or new initiatives.

10. Assist in internal audits, compliance checks, and legal due-diligence activities.

11. Draft legal notices and reply to notices received from authorities or third parties.

12. Maintain accurate records of legal documents, agreements, case files, and compliance reports.

13. Support cross-functional teams by offering legal perspectives and solutions when needed.

14. Identify potential legal issues proactively and recommend preventive measures.

Candidate Profile:

  • Law graduate (LLB/LLM) from a recognized university.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience as a Corporate Lawyer or Legal Advisor (experience may vary based on your requirement).
  • Strong knowledge of corporate laws, regulatory frameworks, contract laws, and compliance procedures.
  • Experience in litigation management and dealing with statutory authorities.
  • Excellent drafting, vetting, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professional ethics.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with management and internal teams.
  • Strong communication skills (written & verbal) with the ability to simplify complex legal concepts for business teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple legal matters simultaneously and work under time-sensitive situations.
  • Updated awareness of legal amendments, business-law trends, and court judgments relevant to corporate operations.
