About the Role

SITM Uganda is seeking a dedicated Lecturer in Software Engineering to join our academic team. The successful candidate will teach across multiple semesters, covering both foundational and advanced topics in computer science, programming, and emerging technologies. This is an onsite role requiring relocation to Uganda within 25 days.

Responsibilities

• Teach and mentor students in:

• Software Engineering Practices

• Object-Oriented Programming (C++)

• Data Warehousing & Data Mining

• Linux & Shell Scripting

• Data Communication & Networking

• Programming in C#, Java, Python

• Advanced Data Structures

• Big Data & Cloud Computing

• Web Technologies & Database Management Systems

• Mathematical Foundations for Computer Science

• Supervise student projects, seminars, and summer training.

• Design engaging assignments and practical coursework.

• Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives.

• Provide academic mentorship and career guidance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

• Minimum 1 year of teaching experience in higher education or industry training.

• Strong command of spoken and written English (mandatory).

• Proficiency in multiple programming languages (C++, Java, Python, C#).

• Familiarity with emerging technologies such as Big Data, Cloud Computing, Game Development, and VR/AR.

• Willingness to relocate to Uganda within 25 days.
